This is it.
The little vintage madras clutch, just tricked out enough.
I drove 87 miles round trip for 3/5 of a yard of lovely olive green vintage french petersham.
Until yesterday, I would have called this grosgrain. But now I know better. It's softer but stiffer than grosgrain, not that that makes any sense. And the edges have that lovely little hint of picot that I adore.
The amazing fact is this: I sewed everything, no glue here. I had a little bowed rhinestone whachamacallit that fit so snugly into the center of the bow. I do so love a touch of sparkle.
As it turns out, I won't be the one with the cute madras clutch, my daughter will.
