Please meet Lily Grace
We reached for the stars.
Bought the perfect dress.
Dazzled ourselves 'till we were dazzled out.Brought up the south end of a north bound elephant.
Buffed, polished, shined and sparkled.
Gazed at our reflection.Sat straight and tall upon a gorgeous pony.
Fluttered so fast our arms became Hummingbird's wings.Ate more than our fair share of rainbow sprinkles.
Built sand castles on magical islands.
Served tea (again and again) pleasing Mr. Owl no end, as he specifically requested mint.
Found a dollar on the playground, proving Friday the 13th can be a lucky day!Read to our hearts content.
And for a little while, felt like a lily pad.
If the chance comes your way to spend a week with a five year old
take it, and be prepared to feel like you are holding on to the end of
kite the entire time. And be prepared, when she is gone to listen for
that little voice, those little hands on the piano and all those giggles.
"Sweet dreams are made of this" (Fleetwood Mac)p.s. And know, the spanking new shoes will be a little ratty tatty in less than a week, because there are just so many places to be.
